it's funny when you really think about it. now i just like many other kids loved garfield.
and by removing him from these three little panels really makes jon look crazy, depressed, and lonely and all that.
but thinking about it now it really doesn't change it all that much. I mean the only difference is he talks to cat and dog who can't really talk
back. still crazy and depressed.
and thats pretty funny to an 8 year old

Add in the fact that he's still single and you have a lovely picture. He's like the male equivalent of the crazy cat lady who lives down the
street.

that is great. and pretty much what you said chris is true. he looks lonely, depressed, and an incy wincy bit crackers. but i talk to my pets.. but
its more terms of endearment/hate than my depressing thoughts. Its actually like reading calvin and hobbes. No one could see hobbes so calvin is
running round talking to a stuffed tiger for ages ... still my favourite comic.

i love this one:

...it must be nice having a cat, though. they must be more social than fish -- at least my neurotic little fish: mr. jaws junior. he's a
little rough around the edges, and he freaks out when i turn on the lights in the morning.
